The Weight of "The Walk"
I'd like to think that for all the triathalons, Half-Marathons (okay, just 1 of those), and Spartan races I've done, that I have spent a lot of my life working out.
We’re the Hookers—a family of performers and homesteaders living in the mountains of Utah. We haven't traded the stage for the barn; we’re just doing both! From handcrafted skincare (made with goat milk from our own goats!) to reflections on faith, everything we do is rooted in excellence and our trust in God as the Good Shepherd.
Beyond the soap and the stories, our message is simple and we repeat it daily: "All Things Work Together For Our Good." When you join the Herd, you’re joining a family that believes in simple pleasures—sunflowers turning toward the sun, kids running barefoot, and the richness of a life lived with hands in the soil and hearts rooted in the right place.
Whether you’re seeking a better bar of soap or a bit of mountain wisdom, welcome to the Herd.
There's a place for you here.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t ever been great about Come Follow Me study. I’ve been off and on, hit, lots of misses, and now we’re in 2026. I’ve made it a goal this year to study every night, even just for a few minutes in the special “journal edition” CFM manual I bought myself for extra support (pro-tip: it's working!).
Let's be real ... We get some interesting comments when we tell them we "live in a trailer, parked inside my parents barn."
I remember going on some pretty amazing trail rides as a kid. Sometimes they were nice, easy rides; not too steep, nothing too crazy. But sometimes, they were bush-whacking, branch-breaking, skin-cutting adventures. They were exhilarating and I have grown to crave me a good, hard ride ... but as a child, I was terrified.
▫️Remember that 10th grade science project you were so stressed about? It works out. Through hard work, angel friends, and God's grace, the pressure will pass. You'll come out on top.
All week long we've taken a day to remember the last week of Christ's life. Holy week.
